Controversy continues to surround Chris Brown.

On Saturday (Jun. 3), TMZ reported that the singer stomped on a fan’s head at Gotha Club in Cannes on May 18. To go along with the story, the site also unveiled a video that appears to show the incident taking place.

The man in question, Malek Mokrani, claims he had to go to the hospital due to neck and head pain and that he also plans on filing a police report.

But Brown denies stomping a fan, saying he was actually upset with one of the venue’s security guards, who allegedly assaulted him.

“Before the [‘One Hell of a Nite Tour’] started, we went to Cannes,” he said in a “PSA” on Instagram. “Gotha, that’s a nightclub [where] I was hosting. No fans were hurt by Chris Brown. No fans were beat up by Chris Brown.”

He continued to tell his side of the story. “I met the owner, shook his hand,” Brown added. “We were partying and everything else. His staff, though, security…I don’t think he probably knew who I was. I don’t care, but he assaulted me, grabbed his hand around my throat and tried to push me out the spot when we were walking. My security was already advanced in another spot. So we handled the situation accordingly and moved on. This has to be a month old so y’all gotta get y’all news faster. And stop lying to the people saying I beat up fans. I don’t do that, but don’t get it fucked up.”
